Click here to print out the 2008 GSHBA Scholarship Application The following scholarship awards were presented at the May 15th, 2007 meeting of the Golden Sands Home Builders Association. 1. The Golden Sands Home Builders Scholarship of Excellence, a $1,000 scholarship, was awarded to Brian Novotny, Jr. from UW-LaCrosse. 2. The Jeff Nygaard Memorial Scholarship Fund Award of $500 was awarded to Crystal Sowieja from UW-Milwaukee. 3. The Henry Knoll Memorial Scholarship Fund Award of $500 was awarded to Angela Voelker from UW-Stevens Point. 4. The Blenker Companies Scholarship, “Building for Tomorrow”, a $500 scholarship was awarded to Nathaniel Trzebiatowski from Amherst High School. 5. The Brad Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund Award of $500 was awarded to Nathan Hiles from UW-Stout. 6. The Henry Mower Scholarship Memorial Scholarship of $500 was awarded to Derek Tietz from UW-Stout. 7. The SnowBelt and Fireplace & Stove/Hyer Construction Scholarship of $400 was awarded to Mark Zierke from Stevens Point Area Senior High School. 8. The Portage County Bank Scholarship of $250 was awarded to Kyle Lewis from UW-Stevens Point. 9. The FCS Financial Services Scholarship of $250 was awarded to Elizabeth Lauer from Tri-County High School. 10. The Heartland Custom Homes Scholarship of $300 was awarded to Carol Fenske from Mid-State Technical College. These scholarships were made available to students from throughout the association area, which includes Portage, Waushara and Waupaca counties, who are entering or continuing their education in a building related industry. |
