Members Honored for Service to GSHBA 

Jeff Krupka – Builder Member of the Year

The Golden Sands Builder Member of the Year Award is presented to a builder member who exemplifies the Associations’ commitment to the community and the industry.  Krupka Construction has been a member of GSHBA since 1993 and Jeff has been actively involved since 1999.  He has served on the Board of Directors since 2004, chaired the Awards, Home Show, Membership, Nominating, Parade of Homes and Safety Committees.  Over the past 3 years Jeff has organized and supervised GSHBA’s booth at Art-In-The-Park.  Currently he is the newly installed President.

 

Steve Lorang – Associate Member of the Year

The Associate Member of the Year Award is presented to an individual whose commitment and generosity has been an example to other. Steve Lorang is employed at Stock Building Supply since 1996 and has been Location Manager - Plover since 2003.  He has served as a member on the Home Show and Golf Outing Committees.  Steve’s commitment to helping the building industry and our local association made him the obvious choice for this award.

 

Dan Peskie – Leadership Award

The Leadership Award was established in 2001 to recognize our retiring president.   2007 President Dan Peskie is the owner of Peskie Builders and Excavating Inc.  He has been a member of GSHBA since 2000 and has been in the building business for over 10 years.  Dan has served on the Board of Directors since 2003 chaired the Education Committee and has served on numerous other committees.  He is an extraordinary individual and our association is lucky to have such a dedicated member.

 

Pam Zinda – President’s Award

The President’s Award is presented to a member who has worked tirelessly to benefit the Association.  Pam Zinda was selected because of her leadership and dedication to building positive relationships between associate members and builder members.  Pam is employed as a Loan Officer at FCS Financial Services since 1998 and has been in the banking business for 9 years.  Pam has given countless hours to the Association through her involvement on a number of GSHBA committees, as well as the Board of Directors.  She currently is serving her second term on the Board of Directors and is the 2008 Home Show Chair. 

 

Pam Jewell – Outstanding Member Award

The Outstanding Member Award is presented to the GSHBA member who has benefited the Association over the past year by showing an extraordinary commitment to the membership, the community and the industry.  Pam Jewell has been a leader, a mentor and an inspiration to countless members of this Association.  She was instrumental in creating the GSHBA Scholarship Program, Member Anniversary Pins and in 2007 revamped the Home and Garden Show.  Pam is co-owner of  Blenker Construction.  She has been a member of GSHBA since 1984 and in the building business over 30 years.  In addition, Pam has served as a GSHBA President, state and local director and chaired numerous committees.  She is an extraordinary individual and the industry is lucky to have such a dedicated advocate.
